I graduated from an 8-week improv school with a performance in front of a live audience. The whole experience was terrifying. My body was trembling uncontrollably and every ounce of my insides were screaming, “Jen don’t do this. Don’t get up on that stage.” But I did it. I had to. When fear suffocates you, you have to find a way to breathe. The only way to do that is to pretend you’re not scared at all and do the thing that makes you want to curl into a ball and hide underneath your bed.
