FROM STEVE JOBS

None of us are invincible. I wish there was an app for that.

Steve Jobs just makes me want to get up from my desk, throw my stack of to-do-lists up in the air and dance around as they fall on top of my head! He makes me want to stop living my life under mundane and petty circumstances and skip the lines straight to making the changes I know I can  bring to this world. But most importantly, he makes me want to lay my broken down, virus infected, PC to rest and finally, finally, give in and get a MAC!

Here are the top three most inspiring thoughts from a man that changed the world:

“Almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

“Look in the mirror everyday and ask, “if today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am doing today?” If the answer is no for many days in a row, you need to change something.”

I’m Jen Glantz. I’ve been a published writer for over 13 years, spilling my words into magazines (ranging from style to scuba diving), newspapers, websites and even this one time, a speech, for someone who didn’t speak a word of English. What drives my words, my site, my writing, is the power of relating to people. I find that many people, especially young girls, feel so alone and quite often they feel embarrassed. I want to shatter those feelings! I want them to read what I write and understand that it’s okay to be a little outside of the box, but most importantly, that it is okay to just be who they are.
